Have you always wanted to try boxing but have no idea where to start? This is the perfect class for beginners or intermediate boxers to put on mitts and start punching the bags. With a mix of cardio and technique-based boxing movements, this class is both fun and challenging! Do you find partaking in cardio hard or you make excuses in avoiding it, but you know that you should be doing some cardio? Consisting of the Cardio equipment in the Gym, combined with various body weight and free weights exercises. Our instructor will motivate you to push to your limits! This presentation will describe projects exploring how findings from robotic musicianship can extend into general AI and the robotics industry. The first project, Emotional Musical Prosody, embeds musical phrases into industrial robotics for improved trust and collaboration. The second project describes a system for an interactive rapping robot and the implications for expert human robot interaction. The final project describes a new system for robotic musical practice and the implications for robot development. All are welcome!BioRichard Savery is a developer of artificial intelligence and robotics, using music and creativity as a medium to program better interactions, understandings and models. He is currently a Macquarie University Research Fellow, focused on developing a rapping and drumming interactive robot. He was recently awarded a DECRA fellowship (2025-2027), focusing on robots and AI in long-term use and groups. His research has received $3.8 million in funding and significant industry partnerships. His work has been featured in Scientific American, BBC Radio and Disney +. At the end of the hottest year in history in 2023, a Rising Tide of everyday people shut down the Newcastle Coal Export Facility, the world’s largest coal port, for 32 hours.Watch Rising Tide’s very first short film, and meet some of the 100+ Canberrans who attended the 2023 People’s Blockade of the world’s largest coal port in Newcastle. Join with like-minded local community members to learn how you can get involved in this diverse movement for climate defence.Supper provided from 6pm. International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) aims to increase public awareness, understanding and recognition of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions to our communities, workplaces and educational institutions. It is also a time to reflect on the everyday experiences and challenges faced by people with disability.  IDPwD is officially celebrated on 3 December. At UC, we will be celebrating early (before the end of the semester) on Tuesday 15 October, to ensure maximum participation. This year, the InclusionUC team will host a free BBQ for staff and students on the concourse.
